Fortune Cookie Poem
“Advice is like kissing. It costs nothing and is a pleasant thing to do.”
But is it really pleasant?
For the giver perhaps, but the getter less so.
I’ve found some advice jabs in places you don’t like to be touched
The advisory gains pleasure from his newfound father complex
the listener hears what he’s been hiding from all along
I guess for me the longer I can stay hidden from what’s scaring me
the better
the longer I deny fact and stay in my cocoon hidden
And then there’s the kissing
it starts off very pleasant
like caramel
but as time passes , that sweet grows bitter
and eventually the teeth bite back
but I guess I’m in need of some good advice

I took a fortune I'd recived in a cookie and wrote a poem to follow it.
