Home Alone, Having A Staring Contest
The mind is another unknown universe, one can get lost in there sometimes. You go through the days in a flash of light. Even on the days where the sun is shining it still is dark and cold, but when the pitch of night falls is when your most comfortable, but so are your demons. The whispers of the all too familiar voices, and there nasty hurtful comments you keep to yourself so no one thinks your crazy. The friends that no one else sees and there dangerous demands.
Diagnosis after diagnosis, stitch after stitch, scar after scar, tear after tear, but you go through the days with a smile you wear it as a mask, in fear the questions people will ask if you don't.
The flashbacks, panic attacks and anxiety after the all too sudden noises. I feel so alone even in a world filled with seven billion people, yet no one tries to enter to help you escape the chains that hold you under the suffocating waters.
You cry for help but soon will you realize that no one can hear the silent screams of your tears.
Each and every day I look in the mirror and see a completely different person and it's like having a staring contest with a stranger but the problem is,
IM ALONE.
