The first time I met you,

I knew you would bring light into my life.

You showed me what kindness was again,

What it was like to have a true friend.

You sat on the phone and told me sweet lies,

That you would never make me cry.

They said I was too young and you were too old,

And that you would remind me why I thought love was so
cold.

I had past experiences with cheaters and liars,

So in my heart love got fired.

I told myself love didn’t really exist,

To me love was like a fairytale it was just a myth.

That was until the day I met you,

Who showed me a world that seemed to new.

Well I guess it was all a dream,

Because you just aren’t what you seemed.

I thought loved had changed,

But all it did was bring me more pain.

So in truth I fell in love with you,

And that wasn’t something I was trying to do.
