We all only get one life,
it can sometimes be a life full of pain.
Pain that causes us to cry lots of tears,
but sometimes the sun shines, and brings us laughter.
When I am happy, I know what it is like to feel love;
and being loved makes me realize the sadness will be gone.

Sometimes when our sunshine seems gone,
and we wonder why we are living this life?
The sun reappears and our heart is full of love.
It’s a time to rejoice and look past our pain.
Filling the room with lots of laughter,
while wiping away the sad tears

This love we feel, helps eliminate the tears,
our depression has subsided and is now gone.
I once again hear laughter,
and I am looking ahead to a happier life,
Who knew medication could terminate the pain,
that I felt from the lack of love.

A new day and I focus on things I love,
this little pill has ended the tears.
Those tears of sadness and pain,
are gradually gone;
we only get one life.
So, I am glad to fill mine with laughter.
