Betrayed

You give them your all,
In hopes they’ll catch you when you fall.
When in reality, they never wanted you at all.
They wanted to play a game,
A silly little game,
That filled you with a feeling of shame.
You thought this was it,
That things would finally work out,
Instead, you ended up crying your eyes out.
You watch as he moves on,
On to something new,
Something that doesn’t involve you.
