Cicadas
The cicadas chirp,
the birds sing,
and the mosquitoes bite.
A young boy rides his bike
to the local pool
with the
scorching,
sweltering,
sun
sizzling his skin.
As the unbelievably-vibrant colors
of the fireworks
light up the sky,
the kids stuff their faces with
delicious hot dogs, burgers,
fruits, and smores.
The cicadas chirp,
and all the girls
run around in their tiny
swimsuits for
national bikini day and
everyday.
