he calls herself a writer
sitting in her room
but the blank piece of paper
brings her only frustration

her mind is full of thoughts
whirring through her head
running yelling singing shouting
spinning twirling
jumping whirling
stubborn and impossible to calm

if she ever picks one
it leads her quite astray
(too long too short or just not right)
they never meet her standards

the writer and her words
struggle a while
but the thoughts
end up falling apart
and fading away

so she gives up on changing them
'cause nothing
is stronger
then a powerful thought
persistent in its path

she finally decides
to let them
run their course
so they can change her

Every year my school takes the "real" academics out of a school week and calls it the "winterem week". all the students choose a topic that they would like to do an intisive study and i chose to write.
