Deep and dark skies

drift over divided spaces

The kids in school

wait for a friend

that never stays till the end

Parents patiently wait to

pay the price from a slow day of pay

Even hogs and hares fight like ice

The preachers squealing like mice

The rich prowl and pounce

praying on the poor

The eviction man pounds on the door

The child slips and falls on the floor

but no one seems to care anymore

Dark, depressing days

definitely consume our ways

The light is lowly lit

and shows no shimmer in dark clouds

One day darkend clouds will disappear and daily sunlight will shine through.
