Dear ALL Anti-Trump people,

Dear ALL Anti-Trump people,
It is 2018, It is the time for understanding everybody.
But at this time, apparently, you don't understand me.

You don't understand me because I like Trump.
For a matter of fact, I don't like Trump, I love him.
And even though you urge people to make their own decisions, please can you tell me how I am wrong. How I am ignorant, and racist, and xenophobic, and wrong, and stupid, and racist, and racist, and racist… Please tell me why…

Please tell me why you call me these things when things don't go your way.

If Trump is so bad tell me why.
Why is he bad?
Why is he not fit to be the President?
Why do you say he is too old?
Why does a word he said in the past matter while being president? I mean doesn't everyone say bad words? Doesn't that make our president more human?

If your going to accuse our President of sexual assault, where is the proof?
I can claim sexual assault on anyone at any time, with no real evidence, and is that fair?
Trump is a son, a father, a grandfather and our president, a 72 year old man.
Your labeling him a pervert?
Where is the proof?

You call Trump a Racist what does that mean?
How is he racist?
When was he racist?
What has he done to be racist?
It must be because he's white.

How are people unequal?
Its 2018 we are all EQUAL.
Even though Racism still may exist in some people, how is it Trumps fault?
After all there is no law making people unequal.
Where does this come from, when did this re-start.

What about the wall?
Why is it unethical and racist?
I mean isn't stopping the bad people from coming here a good thing?
Isn't it good to be slowing down illegal drug imports?
I mean people should come here the legal way, and you know, pay taxes and stuff.

Look at those statues you guys made us tear down,
They were apart of our history, and apart of each town.
Simply because a statue represents a rough patch in our history doesn't mean it should be ripped  down. Even if feelings are hurt, it represents our past, and who we were, and illuminates who we are now.

Everyday, I am reminded of how I am wrong.
I am reminded that I am racist, and I quote, “A stupid ignorant loser”
I am reminded that when people dont get their way, its my fault.

Why can't I get my way for one day, one week, one month, one year, or four years or even seven more.

I am reminded of these things because I like our President.
Is it a sin to like our president?

The next time you call me racist, me a loser, me any other word that I can't write in this poem
You are calling a hardworking, motivated, student, firefighter, family man, happy human being, those things… and before those words move from your mouth again, please tell me why.

The author's comments:

In this poem I question many statements that has been made towards me, because as a Trump supporter I want to know why. I also brought light to the bad things that I have been called, and tried to ask for a reasoning because it didn't make sense. I also wrote this poem because I wanted to stand up for what I believe in, and show people that I know what Im talking about. I wanted to show them the type of person they were calling those things.
