Every time it snows I get punched. Not each punch is the same. From December to February the punch is light. March is unique and punches hard but in a friendly way. April through November feels like the one-inch punch, along with a burning sensation that entraps my body. Then the type of snow also affects the punch. Strong heavy snow feels the softest like a dog jumping up to give you a hug. The lightest snow feels like a bed of nails, by no means comfortable but tolerable. The only time I don’t feel a punch is when the stars align and the timing is right so that when my alarm goes off I see an email with the subject line reading School Canceled.
