I saw her once
on a soon to be summer day
in a crowd of many
she caught my dismay
I had to know
who she was
I soon found out
and there she was
I tried for months
oh so many goosebumps
she was scared to love
but I knew to never give up
finally she knew
that it must be true
and decided then
that it was time to love
a boy who started
a young man who finished
it took so long
but the wait was worth it.
