We forgot the body of a man who kept silent yesterday
Thousands had not dared to testify
An audience of dying men felt no pity for him
Ten thousand did not wish to go up in flames
But remained silent when
Children
thrown in flames.

The survivor
Who had not dared will remain silent tomorrow
The violin in the service of death.
A melody choking life and death.
A summer sun in our veins
Eyes tortured, half extinguished
Very close to sick peace
From this gallows

Another day
Ten thousand an orphan
Searching for a stained inheritance
Another In the service of death.
Another broken
Another in flames
Another body
Another anger, hate for another day.

Another thousand.

A "Found" style poem based on Night be Elie Wisel and WW2 internment in Nazi Germany. After writing this poem, I realized it relates to more and more people and current events. Onlookers, persucuted, leaders, negative people, be aware- now more than ever. Be aware.
