The Fear of the Road Ahead
The night was loaded with omens
I try to keep the line open
If I should overcome it and go
I had a reluctance to drive on that amounted fear
I would be a certain I had a pipeline to prophecy
Here is where the map should fold
Yet these nights were to cold
So, I put the car in in gear and moved
The landscape glowed with yellow and rich browns
I was not prepared for the badlands
small towns with such big frowns
For the stars were close
The road surface tore viciously at my toes
What a place for a colony of troglodytes
A typical bad lander
