Travels with Charley
New Hatched Sin
I was caught, trapped
Eyes wash over
Eyes frosted with sun glare
Trapped
How many people have seen
Or heard
Or felt
Something.
Trapped
Terrified of silence
The strange landscape shouted
Trapped
Like the work of an evil child.
Dry and sharp
Desolate and dangerous
I can't explain it.
That's just how it is.
The wind got up
Light poured
Colors and dazzled
Glowed with yellows and rich
Swept clean of and telescopically clear
Light poured
Lovely beyond though
Light poured
Silver glow in the sky
Driven back
By the clarity of light.
