30 Foot Python
Expectations are like 30 foot pythons.
You don’t really realize when you’ll encounter them,
Until they are slowly suffocating and robbing you of air.
They live for a good number of years.
Even if you ignore them they’ll still be there,
Waiting for the next victim that fall prey to them.
As time goes by they continue to grow.
Life’s stresses seeming to feed them more,
Until they finally manage to swallow you whole.
Unless you learn to overcome them,
however impossible and painful they may be.
If it was easy achieve then there would be no reason for them to be.
