My heart is beating fast.

Look at me, I may not last.

My mother says I am fine.

But she is another puppet in the line.

My father gives me a smile,

it will be okay. But that stretch is a mile.

My friends, they make me laugh,

and I know it is on my behalf.

My boyfriend, he holds me tight,

I hope to god it is all night.

Please pick me up, I need it.

My world, how she needs to be lit.

Don't take me down at all,

that is, unless you want to see me fall.

I hold onto my hope,

but I'm not the freaking pope!

So Honey, stay happy,

I promise if you try, it'll be snappy.

Now I'm standing at the edge.

My life comes to a hold, a wedge.

I see it flash as I hit the water,

it is cold, the movie was like a slaughter.

But then I see them, the ones that cared,

My parents, boyfriend, friends, all there!

I realize something, I'm not ready to die.

Pull me out, please, the water is hurting my eyes!

Then it goes blank, I'm left in thought,

Then I open my eyes, I see all the flowers brought.

The bed is warm, but my veins are still cold,

I see my loved ones, young and old.

And now I know, what I am worth,

for I am living the rest of my life on this earth.

Don't let people or things get to you,

I learned that the hard way when I almost went blue.
