What Happens at Church
Every Sunday morning, same place, same time.
First, they worship to exalt the Lord in His glory.
Few dancing like waves on the sea swaying back and forth.
Few raising their hands waiting for God's presence.
Few standing side by side singing softly to fill the void of awkward silence.
Second, they take a short intermission to visit with their peers.
One sits alone in the crowd feeling like an outsider with no one to talk to.
This is about the same time when the late comers walk in with their tails between their legs.
Third, they listen to the sermon to further their knowledge on the Word of God.
The same people in the back row constantly talking, talking about what their problems are.
Kids playing games with their friends, parents silencing their kids.
Lastly, they pray to ask God to intervene in their lives.
Then they say their goodbyes and will see each other
Next Sunday at the same place, and the same time.
