It was written.
Written on the wall.
Written whole, short scale, red hands.
Everything was gone, we woke at dawn, climbed up to the top.
What do you think we saw?
Salvation? Ha!
We saw ourselves, staring back, shaking our heads in disbelief, disdain, and yet we refrained.
We just kept on walking, just kept on walking...
Down, or up. It didn’t matter either way…
