Shadow Girl
Among a sea of people she remained alone.
  Behind the shadows of others,
Beneath the feet that walked over her,
Since the day she could walk.
Because of this, the girl hid.
Without question, she never seeked to shine in the sun,
  Above - where others walked,
In a place with so many people.
In spite of everything, the young woman tried.
Against the shadows, she tried to find her own light,
Within herself, she struggled to find her courage.
  Instead she found hope.
