Not as it seems
He seemed so perfect
Could he get any better
Who cares that he would down a bottle
Why didn't she leave when she had the chance
The beginning stages were the best
But slowly he started to change
She knew it was only going to get worse
Why didn't she leave when she had the chance
Always pretending
People not knowing the truth
How long could she keep up the charade
Why didn't she leave when she had the chance
He threw the glass hitting the side of her eye
Another trip to the ER
Where yet again another story was made up
Why didn't she leave when she had the chance
He said he loved her
But did he even care about her
Too sick to notice what he was doing
Why didn't she leave when she had the chance
She begged him no
Please don't hurt me
I thought you loved
Why didn't she leave when she had the chance
