I love my room.

The book covers fade
The curtains fade
The paint fades
The paintings on the wall fade
I love my room.

The floor creaks
Near the door
My clothes reek
On the floor
I love my room.

In the closet used to lie
My old television set
Now all it does is fry
My old videocassettes
I love my room.

Despite it’s imperfections,
I still walk in it’s direction,
In this poem to which I display my affection,
My own private section
I love my room.

I was inspired by my room, I live in it, and it lives in me.
