It’s been forever
Since I could remember
The way you smelled
How bad you spelled
It’s been quite a while
Since I could smile
At how crazy you acted
At how much of my life you impacted
It’s been a few years
And I’ve cried a few (thousand) tears
You were my best friend
Right up until the end
It’s been two years
And I’m still brought to tears
By the memories of you
Sleeping in that hospital room
I can’t remember you
And it’s breaking me in two
You’re the background on my phone
And you’re the one where my heart feels at home
