Bound By His Chains

I was bound by the chains,
The chains that kept me close to him.
Every time I tried to get away
He yanked on the chains
And pulled me back in.
I tried to jump off a cliff,
To cut the chains.
It didn’t work,
He just pulled me back up.
I tried to find someone new,
But I only thought of him.
Everywhere I looked,
I was reminded of him.
He keeps pulling me back in
And right now I’m torn,
Torn apart by his actions
And his words.
All I know now,
I that I love him
And I’ll never stop.
