Ben Franklin Ben Franklin. Just a young lad. Invented at 11, still his dad wasn’t glad. Indentured to his brother, he had to run away. He hopped aboard a ship, ready for seaway. Headed to Philadelphia, he didn’t even say goodbye. He decided to come back later, but the family was still awry. So he stayed in Philadelphia, grew the liking of a Read, they planned to be married, but she had different needs. He sailed away to London, loved by all, but when he came back, the marriage had a fall. He started his own printshop, a bounty of experience. His business starts to boom, but Ben was still curious. He started to write, he became the official printer, but he still had no wife, to cuddle with while winter. He finds the cure for the common itch, he achieved the dream of most, he can retire rich. That's when the politics woo him, and draw out his affection. He is not like most political snakes, he is true with good intention. Now postmaster of Philadelphia, inventor of a stove. He has so much success, but money not the treasure trove. We all know he was kind, generous and true, but when his life came to close, did he really live it through? That’s the fear of most, to die with nothing but regrets. We all search for happiness but only end up with debts. We look in dollar bills, in our possessions and surroundings. We all say we want to love, but most just want fake things. True intentions are hard to see, we often overlook them. When we dig deep into souls, sometimes we find the stem. The stem back to our happiness, did Ben Franklin know the key? Hard work and great love leads to greater posterity.
