Nuclear Winter
The firestorms raged
Sending their soot into the stratosphere aged
As it was and setting the winter
On its path of cinders
Once the firestorms had burned their course
The cold descended upon man to enforce
The consequences of human ignorance
For destroying any innocence
The earth devoid of life
Except a few sorry souls rife
With grief at the situation their brethren,
They had become vet’rans
Of the horrible war
That had caused four
Years of undue winters
That all began with blazing cinders
