sometimes i start to think it’s true

i just want to be like those girls on tv
they’re pretty, tall, and especially skinny

sometimes i sit and cry in bed
thinking of all the things that you said
i know they can’t be true because the voices in my head say otherwise
but i guess i should trust you more than all the other guys

my hearts been broken too many times before
but i guess that’s not a reason for me not to trust anymore
people just always break their promises
but life is always full of surprises

maybe i should give you a chance to see if you’ll break my heart
because my life is like a book and so far you’re my favorite part
