Proud

I’m latina and i’m proud,
proud of having piel color canela.
Proud of my fellow mexican people,
proud of my culture. Proud of my culture.
But i’m not proud of my government,
Why? because we have a white racist supremacist as our president, who disrespects my people.
I will stand out for those who can’t,
We need to start fighting for our rights!
I’m a proud mexicana,
proud of my roots and proud to be latina.

What inspired to write this piece is because lately ive been seen all types of hispanics be afraid of expressing who they truly are and all of their cultures. I hope to inspire many girls and boys to be proud of who they are.
