Where I'm From
I am from a northern Woods,
Where shots were fired and deer were down
I am from a family of sarcasm and laughter,
That will be passed on like clothes from a big brother
I am from a group of close friends,
Where laughter at small jokes goes a long way,
I am from the sounds of loud engines and smell of american muscle,
Its fast and the smell of race fuel brings me back as if I grew up in an older era
I am from the “Have fun be safe”
The times my cousins and I float over snow on our snowmobiles
I am from the box of memories buried in my backyard
When dad set a field on fire and mom was not happy
