Young Girl
That young girl who used to smile,
Yeah, the one you haven't seen in a while.
You hear her name everywhere,
But everything's changed, even her hair
The light you used to see in her eyes
Is now stained with tears as she cries
Those bright colorful jeans and shirts
Have been taken over by black sweatshirts
That young girl who used to laugh
You can only see it in a photograph.
You can hear it from time to time
But it's nothing, not even a dime
That young girl who has never had a boy
That young girl who hasn't had joy
She has been gone for a while now
And she won't be bcak again, that I can vow
That young girl whose mind is so old
That young girl whose body is now cold
All she wanted was to have prue joy
Now, her body is now cold
That young girl who used to smile
Yeah... the one you haven't seen in a while

I was going through a hard time and needed a way to vent, so I sat down and wrote this poem.
