Broken Girl
What has happened to me?
I look in the mirror and see a ghost.
My life has shattered like glass,
I’m a shell of my old self at most.
In this body, there was once a soul
Now all that’s left is broken bones.
I wish I knew where I went wrong
Oh, what I’d change if I had known.

This poem is self-inspired. It's written as a way to open people's eyes about self-esteem issues and mental illnesses, especially those in teenagers. Hopefully this will help people understand what others may be going through, and they'll find a way to help or at least acknowledge the struggle.
