recollection
Engine shivers, tense with anxiety
 Depression into an enclave
 Of clear sparkling precipitation
Becoming turbid swirls of congealed sludge

 Souls wait on this road
 Lentic as an intolerable swamp,
And slowly there is no oxygen left
And slowly Death slinks to prey

I clutch a few mold capped buns
 Staring into my wife's eyes
 Then into desolating woodland.
 Thoughts and Time strikes blows
 To my dreadful heart,
 Soothed away by exhaustion
And we dash madly through the abyss

 Low
 Rhythmic
 Clapping
 Surging
Company for a couple and the rain.

 The horizon glows
 Beautifully

 Rust spot boats
 Like a disease

 The tide shrieks in distress
 Thrusting infants to the sky
 And in disappointment.
 Lifesavings limply drop
In awe of the life's price tag
 Moonlight shines upon the guilty
 And the innocent alike.
We leave hastily as gunshots were now audible.

Occasional sobs interrupt the silent stares.
A few tears into my uniform and shoulder.
 In the distance wails
  muffle
  into
  Silence
