I'm Ready

My broken hearts
Ready for a band aid
My tongues ready to talk
But I’m too afraid
My page is ready for a friend
My arms for a hug
My pain ready for comfort
But no one will love
Eyes ready to stop staring
At the potential friends I need
My soul ready to heal
But it continues to bleed
Ready, set, go
Back into my comfort zone
A friend or more
As long as I’m not alone
No more fake sympathy
Or parents for fun
I want someone to care for me too
Until then, I’m done

This was really great!! I don't know why it isn't in Teen Ink. This is really good and very moving. I can sometimes relate to this because sometimes, even though i have friends, you feel utterly alone. I think that's part of human nature, but whatever. This was really good.
