Where Is My Home?
I can't find my home.
Where is everyone?
I can't call a phone.
Out in the streets, I roam,
The people I find are none,
I can't find my home.
Everything is an undertone,
On the floor, I see a gun,
I can't call a phone.
I could be walking through a catacomb,
But then I must run,
I can't find my home.
I try to read a tome,
But there is no sun,
I can't call a phone.
Everything is now monochrome,
I picked up the gun and the deed is done.
I can never again find my home.
I can never again call a phone.

Depression is a very sensitive topic to many people. The person experiencing it feels like they cannot find anyone to talk to anyone and cannot find their place in society. I wrote this in order to explore feelings of depression and suicide. I do not have suicidal thoughts and tendencies myself, however, exploring this topic proved to be interesting and intriguing. With this poem, I hope to implore readers to explore the topic of depression, so that they can help themselves or loved ones get the help they need.
