Apologize
What have I done,
What did I do to you,
I had too much fun,
And sunk deep down to the blue,
I know I can do better,
So do you,
Please show me how,
Tell me what to do
I made a mistake,
The stakes are high,
The guilt is like a snake,
But I just want to cry,
Our friendship is on the line,
We will never be the same,
Gosh I don’t have another rhyme,
The cupid missed his aim
I don’t know what to do,
I am hanging on by a shred,
How could I do this to you,
I just want to go to bed,
I feel so bad,
I can't even think,
Why do you have to be so sad,
I feel like I am going to sink
I have lost you,
I messed up,
You have left me lying in dew,
I will never again yell wait up,
Because you are gone,
I know it is true,
I should just leave,
But I can’t; because I love you

My purpose in writing this piece was to apologize to my best friend after I made a terrible mistake. What I want people to feel that longing that you have when you are about to lose someone you love, but they are still with you. This poem is an apology to try and get someone to stay. I want the audience to know how important it is to forgive, and how important it is to fix your mistakes.
