Spaceboy
You woke me from my state of despair
You and your stupid, curly hair
You made me feel like I could do anything
You told me that you'd like to hear me sing
We planned our voyage across the stars
Just in case we ever made it that far
You told me that I was beautiful and amazing
I blushed so hard, my cheeks were blazing
Pages of my diary, now covered by your name
Who thought you'd be the one to douse the flame
I shone on you with my brightest light
But for you, I just wasn't worth the fight
You said to me, “goodbye Gabrielle, I wish you joy”
And all I that I could muster was, “goodbye Spaceboy”
