Salty Days
Sweaty forehead shining skin
Glancing up and you see a bin
Turn around and there’s a fin.
Bobbing life of color,
Some are like no other
One can be your brother,
Liquid salt in eyes of an athlete
Drop your head and see your blurry feet
It’ll hit you like concrete,
And you’ll taste the defeat.
Birds eating your food,
It’s too bad it’s already chewed
But it’s no place for an attitude
Days here are highly valued.
They move in a different motion
May look like an explosion,
To some it is an addiction,
To others it’s just the ocean.
