Believe in first sight
Never seen him before
He was drunk, she was sober
He gave a random girl sitting by herself his number
Little did they know what will that one drunk move will become
Memory of the girl by herself with a phone reappears in his brain when that little miss spelled name pops up
Hi
Nothing was the same again
Only one week gone by and they never stopped texting
Weeks gone by and they started getting closer
She helped him with his problems
He gave her meaning
Goody-goody girl meets her bad influence
But for some reason
She wasn’t the one who changed
He started caring for her
She started thinking of him
The drugs
The alcohol
Started fading away
He loved so many girls but not the way he loved her
He dated a girl who broke him and tore him up inside
Calls and calls on end everyday
That ringtone constantly replaying
Not only in her head but on her phone
But one call was going to change her and him
Relapse, help help
All he wanted to say was help before he did it
The smell of alcohol is slowly following behind him
The longest call they ever had
She was soft and he was strong
But when he broke into tears
She had to turn the tables
The hate they were both getting from old friends who hated him and put it all on her
It all went away when she found out she made a difference on him
Who thought that something so little as his phone breaking would start something bad
They couldn’t talk
She couldn’t help him
They were on their own
News traveled
He’s in jail
Remembering the last time she saw him
He got out a week later
They texted but never was able to see each other
She thought she would never see him again
One day
She walks into a restaurant
One out of many
And there he was
Watching her walk in
The biggest smile arose on his face as a face of shock was on her
Shaking, running, hugging as tight as they could
He was just about to leave when they walked in
He stayed for an hour
He met her mom
Told her that he was changing his life and going to a boarding school to help him
Her favorite thing he said all day
“I wouldn’t have been anywhere if it wasn’t for this girl right here.
I would probably be in jail right now if I haven’t met her”
He gave her his hat and his sweater that never touches the ground in her room
Every time she goes to that restaurant and taste that food
It reminds her of him and that day
6 months without him,
no connection, no reunions, no anything
She still awaits to see the day that her knight and shining armor appears again
Soon, she says everyday, soon.
