Moving
Everything I work for can leave
As the house still stands, waiting to be left
U-hauls and boxes waiting to be moved
The furniture holds itself up, as I sit on the last chair to leave
Standing still seeing my belongings go
I walk around the yard like its a funeral
The movers move the boxes, as the engine revs
I say my goodbyes with tears in my eyes and sandpaper in my mouth
When it's time to go, I’ll stand to leave
Leaving my life again before it even started
A heavy feeling in my heart
Ready to get out, running from the demons in my past
Make a new impression in the sad life I lead
The first mile is the memories that come back when listening to certain songs
The second mile is the nerves that I feel surrounding me
When I reach my new home, I’ll be ready for my new future
My name will be known, without a negative thought in mind
The next mile is the acceptance of the truth
My heartbeat speeds up as I get closer to my destination
Once I'm there I'll have a home of gold
I'm there the place to be
It's a smell of sour sweet
