The Pain of Knowing
Ask me to tell how it feels
To be curled up in a ball encompassed in
  Your own mass, wracked
  With pain.
Ask me to tell how it feels
  To shake with not exasperation
  But because you
  Have to.
Ask me to tell how it feels
  To never know if the
  Last page will show,
  If the lingering black
  Cloud will ever
  Turn white.
Ask me to tell how it feels
  To be restricted,
  By your body’s own
  Warped sensation.
Ask me to tell how it feels
  To be incapacitated
  Just because
  You are.
Although you may ask me how it feels
  I may never tell
  Because the feeling
  Is a secret
  Burning
  Me up.
