Excuse Me Sir
Excuse me sir,
I don’t know if you knew
You have another daughter
Who looks just like you.
You can’t imagine her confusion
Because wherever she goes
It seems that everyone knows
She has the blood of a Ballard from her head to her toes.
Why does everyone compare her to the family she doesn’t know?
She never asked to be left, ya know?
She knows about her sisters and her little brother
She even knows about her step-mother
She knows all about the family she never knew
She doesn’t need the pity from the likes of you
You can even ask her if she misses her dad
She’ll respond really quick with
“You can’t miss something you never had.”
