“LIFE STORY”
I was7 years old but never knew a to z
I was 8 years old; one question was “what is 1 to 10?”
I was 9 years old, with no mother.
I was 10 years old, under my grandma’s guidance,
My father meeting with the angels
I was 11 years, now on the streets,
here life changed,
rubbish was my food and clothing,
streets were my homestead,
As all regrets of misery set in.
I was 12 years, and life changed,
I was fostered by a guardian angel,
may be sent by my late dad? +
Fact is, she groomed me,
A year later, I was 13,
Oohh my, there are pimples on my face,
but now schooling,
I knew a to z and 1to 10.
Then 15, and my glaze was on her,
the most beautiful girl I ever set eyes on,
but academics first, so I foregone all of that,
Time flew, and I was 20 years old,
I am in university, and all my childhood troubles were behind me,
I now glimpsed ahead of my goal,
...5 years later, I am 25,
I am a doctor,
I am married with my first crush,
Now I just look back at my history, and say
“Haaaa…those were the days!”

I love poetry because it express much of people's feelings and this piece is kind of non fictionary because it reflects upon many orphans in my home area
