A beat,
Not the root that grows from the ground,
But the one that's audible, loud, a sound.
A beat is important in many places,
Bringing happiness and smiles to peoples’ faces.
You begin your life with a beat from your heart,
You can recognize a song from the beat at the start.
A beat can turn one into a dancing freak,
It can lift you from not your seat, but to your feet.
If you live without a beat, your life is amiss,
There is but one thing you're to learn from this.
What you can learn is,
A beat.
