Her Fear of You
She stood there,
Looking up at the sky.
As the rain fell on her face.
She stood there,
Crying.
Thinking about you,
How you were such a jerk.
You crushed her heart,
Her fragile heart.
Fear crept all around her like shadows in the night.
Fear that you would come back,
That she will fall for you again only to have her heart broken.
Afraid that you will torment her,
And ruin her life once more.
I knew it would happen,
Knew it from the start.
That you weren't the guy,
That she could ever trust.
But now it's your fault,
That she's afraid.
That she's standing here,
Crying,
Alone,
In the rain.
