What Can I Be?
I just recently talked about being happy,
But it is unlikely that I can ignore the dark side of me.
Who am I?
What can I be?
I am a small girl,
Living in a big world.
A world full of opportunities and adventures
But my world is smothered by underestimation.
I want to do so many things,
But they say: “She can’t.”
A voice not heard,
I am spoken for.
Will I ever accomplish the things I hope to do?
Will I go on the adventures I dream about?
Will I become the person I want to be?
“No,” they say, “She can’t.”
