Seasons
A small flower, unique,
In a field of them.
Standing tall,
Until the winter comes.
Harsh and strong winds,
Blowing away life.
The field wilts,
Slowly and surely.
The flower is lucky though,
And manages to survive as long as it can.
But then a snowstorm comes,
Crushing the poor survivor.
The petals are stripped away
Frozen over,
But hopefully when the snow melts away,
The seeds left behind grow their way back up.
Time passes, and the seed grows.
Stronger, a seedling sprouts from the ground.
Ready to let it go and visit the sun.
Because today is a new day, a second chance.
