Death?
A wave of relief flooded her face
as she saw her baby girl
A little girl was born in a race
to see who would die first
At five years old, the girl got a friend of black with socks of snow
At six years old she got another with a beautiful golden glow
At ten years old she found out news that broke her heart in half
her dad had cancer in his throat and she could only hope it would not last
At 11 years old, in the spring, a cold day came forth
early in the morning a scream came from a familiar source
Her mother cried and held her close as her father died
The child cried and watched as her father closed his eyes
At 14 she could barely breath even when the sky was blue
She screamed, cut, hit, and cried out for help from you
Her cries went unheard when she wanted to die
Her soul wanted to be free but she held on for dear life
Her friends came around to her cries
and wiped the tears from her eyes
She told herself she'd manage a smile until she'll finally die.
