Boat of the Universe
Slated eyes gaze out upon the horizon
The look of a withered traveler—
Who once voyaged around the world;
Seen seas of suffering and skies of sorrow.
Who met men of the earth
And women of the cosmos.
A son who could once walk with peace
To a man who can no longer walk at all.
Where did the time go?
Was it lost with a purpose,
Or traded away for a mortal ambition?
Now—he rests
With a cold, grey heart
Wondering what tomorrow could have been.
