To be Alive
  I see worry in my father’s eyes,
  I hear screams from behind.
  I smell rusty pennies all around,
  I taste my own sweat dripping down.
  I feel pain, a lot of pain
  I know what it’s like to be alive.

I was inspired to write this from a personal experince of a car accident this May. My father and I were struck by a drunk driver. I turned the horrible experience into a good thing.
