They Come out at Night
Bzz Sss Rrzz
Everywhere, left and right
The air damp on that night
In the wood panelled room that we shared
They were everywhere.
Oh look, there another one goes
Flying, hopping, and jumping, my body oppose
“Hey, over there!” “Where?”
Looking over we saw there were more flying through the air.
All at once, everyone got up, screaming and shouting
I saw one person scouting, another one was pouting.
We wanted to go we, knew that we couldn’t,
Turning to the woods we all knew that we shouldn’t
We groaned,, we moaned,
Like a dog without a bone
We sighed, we cried,
But we knew that we tried.
Everyone sat back down
We all sported a frown,
In that moment we knew,
There was nothing we could do,
The bugs throughout the night
Like stars in the twilight...
