Why the curiosity
I was furious at my mother
for saying I was a disappointment
like an appointment going wrong,
started running then nothing than
curiosity crossed my mind
when seeing matches attached to the coffee table
waiting for me to get persuaded by
it's amazing craving for my fingers
looking like chicken tenders
While grabbing the stick figured match,
started dragging it, roughly
scratching on the box,
as if I was attacking it
Saw bright sparks like in the Fourth of July
during the midnight sight
Anxiety started taking over me,
like curiosity crossed my mind.
Eyes got wide like tarsiers eyes,
got frightened like never before
Thought nothing else than to throw the match, not knowing where my throw was directed at
When failing to stop the match from landing
on the shiney but very tiny couch
Felt my cheeks getting wet from
the tear drops going down my face,
eyes started getting heave
and I realized I was crying
not because of the
major fire that was going to occur,
but on how my furious but
very glorious mother would react.
Heard really loud screams
that my ears starting
to sting like as if I
was being burnt,
the screams sounded
like a screaming beaver,
turned around only to see my
aunts really concerned face.
Started yelling at me like as
if I just finished killing someone,
she called my mom but not really calling
more like screaming for my mom.
Mom reacted fast, started running
didn't know why for, she came with a
bowl full of water the bowl did NOT help at all,
Mom told us both to get bowls of water immediately We did as told, once and for all after what felt like hours
The fire was out, mom seemed furious but
ready to break down, she started yelling at me
Asking me what I was thinking, but I did not
know what to say
Got grounded for 3 months,
I thought it was unfair at first
But was it really? No
Next day my mom went to buy a new
shiney but big couch, she cautioned
me saying do not burn the new couch.????
